Have a happy thought

It is not about getting it right, but having a happy thought about how you would like to be.

This may sound like a fairy tale, it is!

To quote Walter Carrington who trained with FM Alexander, “…in fairy tales we are considering willing and wishing and the consequences thereof.  When you are looking at fairy tales, it must strike you that one thing that no-body ever worries about at all is how the wish is going to be carried out.” (From his article Wishing Willing and Fairy Tales in his book Thinking Aloud.)

To quote FM Alexander, “You think the Alexander Technique is a physical thing; I tell you it’s the most mental thing that’s ever been discovered.”

So it is about how you think about what you are thinking. Ollie suggests you think of his happy face as your invitation to invite any desire for change.
